District

Monbrunn

Monbrunn lies between the Spessart and Odenwald in the Miltenberg basin, surrounded by the Geißenbuckel, Greinberg and Kohlplatte, and is still shaped by farming. Politically the village belonged to the municipality of Wenschdorf, which was incorporated into the district town of Miltenberg on 1 January 1976. Since 2008 Monbrunn has had its own representative on Miltenberg's town council.

The Franconian Marian Way and the Nibelungensteig trail both pass through the village, and the Gasthaus Jägerruh offers a place to stop in. The only local club is the Monbrunn volunteer fire brigade; the neighboring village hosts the Wenschdorf-Monbrunn music society, which since 1929 has brought together musicians mainly from the two upland districts.
