ZIPF Wine House & Inn with Café Bauer

The dining room is divided into several areas plus a conservatory, and in summer a spacious terrace is added. The menu features starters, salads, main courses – including lamb and other meat dishes – and desserts, prepared with regional produce. Wines from the Joachim Kempf wine house are served alongside. Opening hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 11:30 to 13:30 and from 17:30, Thursday from 17:00, and Sunday from 11:30 to 13:30 and from 17:00; Monday is the closing day.

At the Hartigsbau, a café with a large outdoor terrace belongs to the house, where beach chairs invite you to linger. A breakfast buffet is served on Saturdays and Sundays, for which a reservation is recommended. On Fridays and Saturdays, dinner is also served – depending on staff availability.

For occasions such as baptisms, first communions, confirmations, birthdays, weddings, funerals and other gatherings, a lounge for up to 50 people is available; it can be booked from 20 people upwards. A bar, for a sparkling-wine reception for instance, is part of it.

The main house holds six rooms named after grape varieties (Spätburgunder, Dornfelder, Müller, Silvaner, Riesling, Bacchus) on the first to third floors; there is no lift. In the annexe of Café Bauer, four further rooms named after the seasons (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter) have been available since October 2017. All rooms have a shower/WC, TV and Wi-Fi; a bottle of water and a capsule coffee machine are included free of charge. The „Sommer" room has a third bed in a separate room without a door, while the „Winter" room offers a pull-out sofa (1.40 × 2.00 m), a partitioned sleeping area and a second TV. A double room for single use costs €84 per night including breakfast, or €120 as a double; breakfast is served between 8 and 10 a.m. Extra beds and a baby travel cot are available, and dogs are permitted in two rooms with advance notice and a surcharge. Cancellation is free up to four days in advance; three to two days before, 50 percent is charged, and on the day before or the day of arrival, 100 percent.

Under the name „Gutes in der Dose / im Töpfchen" (goodness in a tin / in a pot), dishes are also available to take away.
