The Niers
The Niers is around 1 m deep and 10 to 15 m wide and flows at a leisurely pace – perfect for stepping into a boat even without paddling experience. Tours are possible between Süchteln, Oedt, Grefrath, Wachtendonk, Straelen and Geldern, so routes can be arranged for short or longer outings.
Boats & equipment
The fleet consists of TÜV-inspected brand boats: sturdy Lettmann canoes for two, three or four people as well as nimble kayaks. Larger groups can use rafting and inflatable boats. Before setting off, every group receives an introduction to paddling technique so the trip runs safely.
Combo tours
For those who want more than just paddling, there are seven combo tours: cycling & canoeing, breakfast-canoe tour, paddling & barbecue, covered-wagon canoe tour, cycling-paddling-barbecue, cycling-archery-paddling, and breakfast-cycling-canoe tour. That turns family outings, company trips, club excursions or a day for two into a real experience.
