AquaSol Kempen

The heart of the water world is the 25 m sports pool (28°C) for lap swimming. A swim channel leads out to the year-round all-weather pool (23°C), lit by an LED light display in the early morning and evening. There is also a connected indoor-and-outdoor brine pool with salt water, a Kneipp treading pool and a spacious children's area. If you need a break, the winter garden offers a quiet spot. The course pool (10x10 m) has an adjustable movable floor and is used for AquaFitness, AquaBiking and, in future, swimming lessons too.

In summer the outdoor pool opens as well, with a 25 m pool and a family pool, a large sunbathing lawn, sports fields and child-friendly play options. The operator's website calls it "the largest outdoor pool by area on the Lower Rhine".

The sauna landscape sits on an open rooftop garden and offers three cabins: the Caldarium steam bath (45°C, 100% humidity, easy on the airways), the dry Event Sauna (90°C, room for 36 people, with herbal and event infusions) and the Aroma Sauna (60°C, 40% humidity) with changing lighting and herbal scents. An ice fountain provides cooling, followed by a relaxation room with cosy blankets and panoramic windows, a sun deck and the AquaBistro.

On offer are swimming lessons for children and adults up to the swimming badge, plus water fitness in the course pool – from AquaFitness to AquaBiking.

The water world is open Tuesday to Friday for early swimming from 6:30 to 8:00 and regularly from 10:00 to 21:00, and on weekends and public holidays from 10:00 to 18:00; it is closed on Mondays (except school/club swimming and courses). The sauna opens Tue-Fri from 10:00 to 21:00 and on weekends and holidays from 10:00 to 18:00. The ticket desk closes 45 minutes, and bathing and sauna use end 15 minutes, before closing time.

A day ticket for the water world costs €11.50 for adults, €7.50 for children and €23.50 for families (2 adults + 2 children); there is a short tariff (2 hrs, €9.00/€6.50) and an early-swim ticket (70 min, €6.50/€4.50). The sauna costs €24.00 for a day, €20.00 for the short tariff (3 hrs) and €12.50 for children. People with severe disabilities (SGB IX) receive a discount on water-world tickets, and energy customers of the Stadtwerke Kempen get 10% off in the online shop. Arrival by bike, public transport or on foot is recommended – bus lines 63, 66 and 69 stop at Nansenstraße, and parking is available on site.
