Schippach (stream)
The Schippach is a stream just under 6 km long in the Bunter sandstone Odenwald, flowing north through the Miltenberg district of the same name before joining the lower Erf from the left.
The Schippach is a stream of the Odenwald in the Bavarian district of Miltenberg. It passes through the village of Schippach near the church of St. Wendelin, where in places it runs piped beneath the roads.

Course
The stream rises in the Windischbuchen sub-district and first flows north with barely any gradient in gentle curves. After about one kilometre it reaches the village of Schippach, where district road MIL 13 between Eichenbühl-Heppdiel and Miltenberg-Wenschdorf crosses it. Below the village the stream cuts in more deeply and, past the sewage works, runs sinuously and in places meandering through closed woodland in a notch valley on the Steinheimer Berg. Apart from small short slope channels it has no notable tributaries.
Landscape and Nature
The catchment is dominated by woodland; open land is found mainly around the village of Schippach with its large share of arable fields, as well as in the lowermost part of the valley. Only a few points are settled, such as Geisenhof and the village itself. The entire catchment lies within the Bavarian Odenwald Nature Park and, almost entirely, additionally within a landscape conservation area.
Geology
The Schippach begins in the Upper Bunter sandstone and has already cut down into the Middle Bunter sandstone by the time it reaches the village of Schippach. From the middle of the notch valley onward its bed finally lies in the Lower Bunter sandstone.
