History
When the older burial ground by the city wall ran out of space, this cemetery began to be used in 1904. The land required for it had been sold to the Jewish community by Emanuel Lindheimer in 1899, and his own burial was among the first to take place there.
The Old Jewish Cemetery
Miltenberg's second Jewish cemetery lies along the southeastern city wall. It was the exhaustion of space there that prompted the establishment of the new burial ground.
